The vision received was that of blood cells traveling throughout the body, supplying the much needed oxygen and other nutrients to the differing members of the body to fulfill their purpose. Once the blood cells are spent, they must return back to the heart to be refilled before being sent out again and fulfill their purpose. Good morning, Saints. It's good to be with you. I hope you're comfortable. I hope you found your weather zone and that you'll be comfortable and last as long as uh the Lord has upon my heart to speak to you. Um, Father, I just give you thanks for this day. Father, I thank you for the people that have uh joined us here today. They are your children, Father. Um, it is for this reason that you have brought forth a word for them and for myself, Father. I pray, Father, that our ears would be attentive and listening to hear. Father, that our eyes would uh be unveiled, Father, because your hand is uh is lifting up the eyes of the blind spots that we may have, and that you would touch our hearts to embrace the truth that you have for us. I ask you, oh God, to be in the midst of us and to speak loud and clear to all of us in Jesus' name. Let us begin in James chapter 3. Um, I actually taught from James last week, but I just want to use a section for us to consider. In James

The Little Member that Boasts Great Things

chapter 3, verse 5, James says, even so, the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles, and the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature, and it is set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea is tamed and has been tamed by mankind, but no man can tame the tongue. It is unruly, evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. Think on those verses as I continue to share with you, because I guess we're talking about the power of the tongue. There was a time in our nation's history where we were at war, and I found out that there was a saying, there was an advertisement that they used as a part of their propaganda, and said, and it said, loose slips can sink ships. And they use that to tell their people, hey, watch what you're speaking. There are spies out there. You know, if the Navy men, you know, stop off at a certain place, don't be talking so much about where we're going. Because there's spies out there. And and and if you let out too much information, you could hurt us. And I guess this message came about because recently there's been some talk about, and it comes from my house, but I think it was it was from other houses as well, how we were trying to speak light to people. And for some reason, they take it as if we took up sticks and stones, and if we took up belts and whips, and we started beating them. And they're complaining about how how we were arrogant when we spoke the truth. When we spoke, what does the Lord say about the situation or about the circumstance? Or maybe we weren't even doing that. Maybe we were just speaking wise words, and because they knew that we were a Christian, they got offended. As if we took this Bible and we beat them pow over the head with it multiple times, bruising them, wounding them like a whip and slashing them and ripping out their skin. And I'm like, why are they responding so? I mean, I try to step back and think about what was it that I said? What was it that my loved ones said to you that caused you to be so riled up in anger, in wrath? But the word says clearly that those that are walking in darkness, when the light of truth is presented and it shined on their circumstances, this is how they react. And there's a specific reason why they react this way. In John 3, 19 through 21, Jesus said, This is the condemnation that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. We've said it time and again, it's like you you enter into a dark room and you flick on the light switch and you see all the roaches scatter, they're gone. And it's not like you went in there so you can stop on some roaches, but just because you turned on the light, they scattered away and you weren't there for them. And that's how sometimes the world reacts to the things that we say, yet we had no motivation to cause them to respond that way. It wasn't in our heart to do something like that. But sometimes the presence of God is so on us that we just walk into a situation, not even wanting to correct, not even wanting to say anything negative toward anyone, and there's conviction. There's a sensitivity that is brought out simply because you walk into a situation and they know that you're a Christian, and they know that you don't approve of what they're about to say or do. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. So Jesus is already telling us this is how the world is going to respond to you. I'm telling you in advance. Don't be marveled and awed at the way they're reacting. But it says, He who does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen that they have been done in God. And I think this is what hits my heart the most, is not that the world responds this way. I expect that. But it's hard for me, because I don't expect it, when you shed the light of truth on the saints' circumstances, and they respond that way. And they call them in a kind of it is derogatory. I think if I was the Lord, I'd be kind of offended that they call the word of life, the word of God, cliches. Oh, I don't want to hear that cliche. I'm sick and tired of hearing that cliche. And it's like, that's not a cliche. You talk in the world. This is the word of God. And you would think that saints who who are downtrodden, who are struggling, would want to hear the word of life for themselves. They would want to hear something that uplifts them, something that helps them through the muck and the mire that they find themselves in, whether it was their doing or not. But it's a sign. And it's an unfortunate sign when the saints respond this way because they've given themselves over to discouragement. It is a sign that they've given themselves over to despair, despondency. They're on the verge of depression and they're kind of just letting themselves be taken away there because they don't want to hear the truth of how they can be rescued. Whether it was their situation or not. And I've spoken about that a lot, how we saints, you know, we find ourselves in these situations, and a lot of times it was our own doing. But I'm talking about both, whether it was our own doing or not, for our for our brethren to start responding in that way. And it talks, this is all speaking

The Power of Spoken Words

about the power of the tongue, the power of words. In Hebrews 4 12, it says that the word of God is living, it is powerful, it akins it to a sharp, two-edged sword. It pierces between soul and spirit, the word of God, even to the joints and the morrow. It is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. By its nature, the word of God is these things. The word of God does these things. It is its nature to discern the thoughts and intentions of someone's heart. It is its nature to uncover that which is covered. It's its nature. And he used a lot of metaphors, a lot of gardening, a lot of farming type of things. Things that the Jews of that day would completely understand, completely relate to. He didn't talk about this person and name them and that person and their sin and name, he didn't do that. He went about teaching the kingdom of God, and it was applicable to anyone who would listen and hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches. He taught, he preached, he healed, he delivered countless people. And then there were many that he didn't. And the only time that he became more direct, he became more blunt, and he became more personal is when the self-righteous rose up and they started speaking up and they started questioning him and challenging him. That's when he became very direct and blunt with people. But why did they speak up in the first place? Because he didn't direct anything toward them, he was just speaking in general. Something pierced them, something pricked them, bothered them. And instead of responding as the brethren did in Acts 2.37 to Peter, they were pierced, pricked in their heart, they responded, Oh my god, what do we do? They didn't respond that way. They took an offense, they were insulted, and yet they weren't even being spoken to directly. Because there's a saying, if the shoe fits, wear it. And when they wore it, they didn't respond like, Cinderella, yes, it's me. They were like, Oh no, that's not me. Take that shoe off. And they got offended. The moment we realized that it fits, there was a tinge of regret, there was a tinge of woe that sprung up, and at the same time that it fit, it was indicting, it was convicting, it made the person feel guilty because they realize he's actually speaking to me. But if they only knew who it was that was speaking, because it says in Matthew 12, 7 and 8, if you had known what this means, I desire mercy and not sacrifice, you would not have condemned the guiltless. What is the context? It was the Sabbath day. And Jesus and his disciples were walking around, and Jesus' disciples were hungry, and they took some fruit, some vegetable, maybe it was corn, and they ate of it. And the guilty ones came to condemn. Hey, what are they doing? Why do you allow them to work on the Sabbath? They were just eating some corn. Come on. If you would have known what it meant that I desire mercy and not sacrifice, for the Son of Man is the Lord, even of the Sabbath. These were the people that rose up in contention with them, and he said nothing to them, not directly, not until they spoke up. Another example is Matthew 12, and later in that chapter, in verse 38 and 39, the scribes and the Pharisees came to him and said, Teacher, we want to see a sign from you. But he answered them. But again, why did they come up and challenge him? There's a root of unbelief in them. And nothing to do with Jesus. It had nothing to do with what Jesus said. And this is where if you start, like the beloved brother John, who rested his head on the chest of Jesus, and it said so many times, him whom the disciple, or Jesus the disciple, whom he loved. I think it breaks the Lord's heart that he came to earth to share his heart. He came to earth to share his love. And it says in Psalm 109, which is very prophetic, of the actual heart of Jesus, Jesus, through the psalmist, said, For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful have opened against me. They have spoken against me with a lying tongue in Psalms 109, 2 through 5. They have surrounded me with words of hatred and fought against me without a cause. In return for my love, they are my accusers. But I give myself to prayer. Thus they have rewarded me evil for good and hatred for my love. And if you've ever been persecuted when you never even meant to address anyone of in any ill way, you never even were trying to correct. Know that Jesus felt that. Know that Jesus experienced that. Because he came not to condemn the world, but that through him the world might be saved. And in doing so, they were offended and betrayed him and treated him with hatred when he came to show them love. And so I encourage you that when you get into those situations, know that our Father went through those situations. Know that you haven't done anything wrong. Know that you are not walking in judgment of others, but they react and respond that way because of the anointing. The anointing. Something that he can not possess, but that he can move through, that he can flow in the words of life that he's trying to give, because he's still here. And his purpose is still the same, not to condemn the world, but that through him he might be able to save. He warns us in Matthew 10. Jesus said, Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore, be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Beware of men, for they will deliver you up to counsels and scourge you in their synagogues. You will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak, for it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak. For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. We are to be a conduit. We are to simply speak whatever the Lord says to speak. And he went as a sheep to the slaughter and said very little, because there was very little the father had to say at that time. Says, now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child, and the children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death, and you will be hated by all for my name's sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved. He said in verse 27, Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light. And what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. We are to speak whatever it is that He's speaking to us. We are not to be afraid of the world and their response. We are not to be afraid of the saints and their response. And I know that's sometimes hard. I know that the flesh sometimes doesn't want to feel exposed, doesn't want to feel vulnerable. That's really what it is, and we fear that. And yet, if we take up our cross and we follow him, that is exactly what he requires us to do. Jesus was vulnerable before them. And he came in the heart of love, and this is what they repaid him with. He said in John 15, 17 through 25, These things I command you that you love one another. If the world hates you, you know that it hated me before it ever hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. If you were really of them, they would love you. But I'm telling you the principle of why they're responding this way. Because you're not of the world. I called you out. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. That is the very reason. I called you out, I took you, I rescued you out of darkness into light, and now the darkness has ill with you. But is not you, is me. It's always been about me.

Persecution and Faithfulness in Christ

Remember the word that I said to you? A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you. If they kept my word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for my name's sake. I'm telling you, the sadness of it is that they will think that they are serving me. They think that they are serving me, their God. But they do not know who it is that sent me. And that's why they will persecute you, because they really don't know, my father. If I have Not come, if I had not spoken to them, they would have no sin. But now they have no excuse for their sin. For the very reason that I came is to make sure that it wouldn't just be about the past, but that they would have an opportunity to choose. Choose life. Choose you whom this day you will serve. I've come to you. I am the life. I am the resurrection. I am the life. And yet you reject me. What else is there to say? It reminds me of what 1 Samuel said, or it's Samuel said in 1 Samuel 8:7. God said to Samuel, They have not rejected thee, but they have rejected thee. Don't take it personal, Samuel. It's about me. They don't want me. They've forsaken me. They don't want to hear from me. The next verse he says, He who hates me hates my father also. It reminded me of Hosea 4, 6. Because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee. If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin. But now they have seen, they've had the opportunity to choose, and they also hated both me and my father. But this happened that the word might be fulfilled, which is written in their law, they hated me without a cause. He tries to lift up their spirits. Jesus said, When you're persecuted, rejoice. Be exceedingly glad. For great is your reward in heaven. It is me who has rescued you. And if you're receiving all of this persecution, rejoice, I have rescued you. That is what was supposed to happen. That is a sign that I have taken you out from the world. And now the world hates you. But it is me that they hate, because that is exactly how they treated the prophets. They persecuted the prophets who came before you. You are the salt of the earth. But what happens if you don't cause that response from the world? What happens if you lost that savor? Then you're just like them now. You want to have that salt. You want to have that reaction. If you're not getting that reaction, beware. We don't want the salt to lose its savor. What use is it? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. If I go back to James, James said, We stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in the word, he is a perfect man. Able also to bridle the whole body. James 3, 2. Our very presence as being a child of God is going to cause those reactions. No doubt. But we must watch our words. And more so, it's guarding our hearts, our spirits, because the source of our words comes from our hearts. Make sure our hearts are not defiled. Make sure our hearts are not full of bitterness, wrath, anger, malice, unforgiveness. Because these are the things that are going to spew out words that we don't want to speak. Words that are not life, but words that are death. It says in 1 Timothy 5 through 13 about women. And he warns them. And besides, they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house, and not only idle, they're not just idle doing nothing, but they're also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not, interfering and meddling in affairs that they shouldn't even be in. It's an express warning to ladies about how they conduct themselves. Did you know that there are six things that the Lord hates? And that seven are an abomination to him? It says in Proverbs 6:16, these things the Lord hates. And seven are an abomination, a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises equal wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil. And the last two a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among the brethren. If you remember in James, the tongue is set on a fire and it's defiling the body. Let us watch the things that we say, the things that we do, because we could be the instrument of the enemy to divide the body. And there's one thing that the Lord sees as an abomination is that when the saints are sowing discord amongst each other, causing people to take their side so that they can be against other groups. We see them in the world all the time. I see it on soccer teams. I see they got the little clicks, those special three or four, those special, you know, five or six. It's happening in the school, those special two or three in the classroom. That's how the world works. But that's an abomination to the Lord. We are to be one body, one faith of one Lord. In Ephesians 4 31, he warns us, he advises us let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you with all malice. There is a work, if you will, on our part. We must guard ourselves from these things.

Guarding the Heart and Tongue

And it's guarding our heart. Because out of our out of the abundance, out of the many, many things that are in our heart, speaks forth the mouth, speaks forth the tongue. We got to watch those things that we're feeding ourselves. Feeding ourselves. The dancing, the singing, the music, the words that we hang, that we're listening to people as they hang out, as they listen to their songs, or maybe they just have that talk. They came from that part of life where they just spitting out the F bomb and spitting out the S bomb. And that's just their, that's just how they were raised. You hear that enough. And one day when you get frustrated, you let out a word that, whoa, whoa, where did that come from? Because you weren't guarding your heart from these things. Maybe you saw it in a movie and you allowed it to continue. Man, they start in the first five minutes, they were cursing up a storm, and you just kept on. You have to guard your heart. You have to guard your heart. He says in Proverbs 13:3, he who guards his mouth preserves his life. But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction. But every time I see the word mouth, I don't think about the natural. I think about what is it connected to spiritually? The heart. It's that's what you need to guard. Because out of the heart flows everything from the mouth. He says in Proverbs 21, 23, whoever guards his mouth is hard and tongue keeps his soul from troubles. You know, and I I've been kind of uh I don't know, you might not think this of me, but I'm not one to talk a lot, and I don't mind that. I like not talking a lot. It saves me a lot of trouble. I compare myself with other people that talk a lot, and they're in a lot of trouble all the time. They're always talking. Now, sometimes I may need to say something, and then I don't. And the Lord deals with me in that way, but I I'd rather be of a nature where I don't need to be having my opinion spouted out. I don't I don't I don't have that need. Maybe I once did. I remember I used to hang around chat forums all the time. That's kind of where I had an outlet to sort of you know engage in discussion, but I got I don't need it anymore. Maybe it was once then, but I don't need it anymore. And I and I guess I learned from there that vain debate. Oh gosh, I I can't stand it anymore. People have already made up their mind. Why bother? I'm here wasting all this chit-chatting when I could be spending quality time with family or something. We grow up, thank God, we grow up and we grow out of these things. In Proverbs 15, 23 it says, A man has joy by the answer of his mouth. And a word spoken in due season. Oh, how good it is. I don't know if you take joy, but when you come across someone that just needs that word, just needs that encouragement, it brings you such joy that you were able to. It brings you joy that you were kind of able to take them out of the doldrums that they found themselves in. Or maybe you showed them something that they couldn't, they didn't see it. And it just opened their eyes to the possibilities and you gave them hope. And that brings joy. That brings joy that you were able, and then you realize, wow, what power you have that you can build up, you could also tear down. That's what the prophets had power to build up and tear down nations. And yet we have the power to build up and tear down saints and individuals in the world. It says in Proverbs 12, 25, anxiety in the heart of a man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad. Amen. That you have the access to the Spirit of God. If you are yielded, he will speak words of life into that person's situation. A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold and settings of silver in Proverbs 25, 11. It is what we are to do as saints, as the righteous. It says in Psalm 37:30, the mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom. His tongue talks justice. When we read the scriptures, we need to see what are the characteristics that I'm to be walking in. And that's one of them: speaking wisdom and talking of justice. There's nothing wrong with wanting justice in the earth. And speaking about how we can get that. Going back to James, this idea. He says, so then, my beloved brethren, in verse 19, let every man be swift to hear. Slow to speak. Slow to wrath. That in a nutshell would keep us out of trouble. If we're the type that talks a lot, talks a lot, talks a lot. Just be slow to speak. Be quicker to hear. There's no getting around this scripture, whether we understand it or not, that death and life are in the power of the tongue. But Proverbs 18:21 ends that line with, and those who love it will eat its fruit. If you engage in words of life, you will receive that reward. It's what I was talking about, sowing and reaping, with that young player on my team. You sow words of life, you sow words of encouragement, you sow words that bring hope to others. You're gonna reap the reward of it. That you are actually rescuing and you are actually saving someone that got a little lost, that got a little sidetracked. But you speak words of death, and and in the world, that's pessimism. There's no hope in anything you say. Every time you see a glass uh half full, you say it's half empty. Every time you your your your your car breaks down and you have a bicycle to get you to work and work's not that far, you complain and you don't have the car, but you have arrived. Everything is always negative. Those are words of death. Attitudes, attitudes changes everything, changes your whole outlook, your whole perspective. They talk about biblical worldviews and and a worldview. Biblical worldview is seeing our lives through the eyes of what God is able to do on our behalf. And that gives us hope. That builds up our faith because we've seen the litany of testimonies that he has from Genesis to Revelation for all of his people that have put their trust in him. In Romans 4 17, another verse I think we need to consider. It says, that is written, I have made you a father of many nations in the presence of him whom he believed, God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did. And if I I I if I we can point to just some natural analogy. Most children look like their parents, talk like their parents, think like their parents. I think it a spiritual principle that children of God should be just like their father. They are called to be conformed into his very image. And I've already read the scriptures that they should be speaking his words. Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak it out in the light. It's him who you should be sounding like. It's him who we should be looking like, it's him who we should be acting like. We should be like our Father, a nation of children speaking things that are not, as though they already were. We should be echoing the things that have been declared in heaven. We should be the echo in the earth. It just got here because I spoke it, but that's the echo of where it originated from. Sometimes to speak the word of God, sometimes to speak those words of faith, is how we walk on water. That's how we do it. I don't need to go literally walk on water right now to help me believe more in God. God is requiring us to not go by signs and wonders. I've already spoken it, my child. Walk in it, believe in it, have faith in it, trust in my word, I will bring it to pass. I don't want my children looking out for signs. It is the unbelieving who are a root of unbelief that want that. But not my children. I don't have to have a cloud by day and a fire by night for my children. I'm sufficient. When storms are raging around us and the life and the comfort seem to be slipping away, we need to speak. We need to hear the declarations that are made from the throne of God. He's already spoken to our circumstance. He's given us a litany of examples. The question is, are we hearing his voice? Or do we continue to read the book like it was just some mere book? Because until you hear the actual voice of God as you read the word, it's in vain. There are countless people around the world reading this Bible. And it's just a book. It's just a historical document. It's just a bunch of myths and fables of people. Because they have not heard God for themselves. I have a child who, in the way that I will describe it right now, was very much like me when I was young. I was pessimistic. If anything bad was going to happen, it happened to me. That's just how I felt. And I expected it, especially with my car. Always had problems with my car. Just always breaking down, always something else. Just I just remember, and then my friends would be like, uh, you know, they'd be pessimistic about the car too. And I'm like, yep, it's about to happen. And I was just, it was just like that. And so so this particular child of mine, fruit of her womb, fruit of my loins. Um just, no, it's not a blame. No, not a blame at all. Just it's a fact. It's fruit of her womb. Fruit of my loins. It's a fact. So this child will not think high. She'll think low so that they don't get disappointed. And it's fear. And I know it. Uh it's to not be disappointed. But one of the things that that that I had to teach is that if I shoot for the stars and I make the moon, I got a whole lot farther than I ever would have gotten. I mean, this, I I could jump and touch the ceiling. That's not really impressive, is it? If I think about my sports, I'd rather I'd rather lose to a team that was superior to me and fight and battle and rage and with war. And at the end of it, maybe I uh we lost the game, but I don't feel defeated. I feel victorious. I feel like vindicated. It's a whole lot better to lose that way than to win playing little pipsqueaks because they're younger than you and inferior to you. And it's trying to inject that into my children. I don't have it with another one. This person will think the he'll think that he'll think the SARS. Just so out there, man. Not like me. Not like I will not like me. Not like me. Um, but it's that type of attitude that we need to have.

Speaking Words of Faith

Yeah. I think my God is able to do that. Yeah, it's start with, I think my God is in that, I believe my God is able. And then we get over the we we sort of accept the ableness of God. Then the the the out the obstacle is, is he willing? And we gotta embrace that. Yes, he's willing. Yes, he is. So let's end on this particular verse and not be despondent, not be questioning ourselves because we said something, or maybe we just walked into a situation and ended up offending people and didn't even go into it thinking we were gonna do that. But when we come into a situation or when we speak the word of God, always do it in this. Ephesians 4:15. Speak the truth in love. Speak the truth in love, have that attitude every time you speak. Not an attitude that I'm here to correct you and get you right, but just speak the truth in love. Almost matter of fact. Because Jesus, he kind of did that. It was just a matter of fact to him that you were supposed to be of this type of attitude. That blessed is the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers. Just it was just a matter of fact to him. It was fact to him. And yet he said all of those words of encouragement, and he only got the response of hatred and vitriol. And like, who does he think he is? That you tell the degenerateness of the heart of man. Speak the truth in love, because when we do so, we grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ Jesus. Amen.
