Our Father's Heart

Let it Be to Me According to Your Word | Ep. 144

Jesus M. Ruiz Episode 144

The stories in the Bible are not mere stories to tell our children for entertainment. Once we realize that these "stories" are actually God's word spoken through the lives of those long gone directly to us, by mixing our faith with His words we can live and experience not only the power of God in our lives, but also His faithfulness, mercy, and unending love toward us who believe.

In this podcast, we delve into what it really means to mix your faith with God's word. Be blessed in the hearing, but more so in the doing of His word.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

The vision received was that of blood cells traveling throughout the body, supplying the much needed oxygen and other nutrients to the differing members of the body to fulfill their purpose. Once the blood cells are spent, they must return back to the heart to be refilled before being sent out again and fulfill their purpose. Good morning, saints. It is, as always, a privilege and an honor to be before you to share gosh, just some little things that the Lord has been showing me. That's kind of what I feel like every time I come up here and present something before you. I'm just sort of delivering a message he gave to me, and it doesn't make me any higher or greater or prominent than you. I'm just sort of delivering a message he gave to me, and it doesn't make me any higher or greater or prominent than you. You know we're walking along the same road and the same road leads to the same destination, so everything that I share, that God shares with me, is applicable to everyone. That is his child as well, so I hope you receive it in that mind.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

I'm not sure how you interpreted my email recently and I know what I had in mind, but you know, now that I've heard a few people mention it. I'm wondering, oh my gosh, do they feel like they're going to go deliver a message here today? That wasn't my intention, but you know, you never know what the Lord has in store. So I think I'm going to get to the title of the message afterward. But you never know what the Lord has in store. I think I'm going to get to the title of the message afterward and, hopefully, as I share with you some of the things that I have seen that the Lord is showing me on my heart regarding him, it'll just simply bear itself out.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

A message today reminded me of a message that I'd given I can't even remember when. I know Marta was alive at the time and something in Ezekiel and something that I had mentioned back then. I want to reiterate again today. If you read the book of Ezekiel from the beginning to the end, there's never one time that God calls Ezekiel "Ezekiel. Does anybody know what he says to him every single time he addresses him? It is.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Son of man. That's all he ever says to him. Son of man, do this, son of man, do that Son of man speak Son of? It's always he addresses him without saying his name and there's kind of like one time at the end that he only mentions his name, Ezekiel but he's not telling Ezekiel to do anything. He's just saying that Ezekiel is going to be a sign before the people.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

And I guess I started thinking about it again as God was just giving me different scriptures and the word was just developing and that I now see the book of Ezekiel as a type and shadow of the man, Jesus Christ, and it really is emphasized because every time he spoke to him he kept telling him son of man, son of man. So I want to start in Ezekiel, chapter three, and let this kind of be the foundation of, I guess, the point that I want to share with you today that I believe is applicable to everyone, because you know, we talk about having not idols, but mentors, people that we look up to, people that we highly esteem, people that we want to kind of follow in the footsteps because they're such a great example, and I think of that and I think, okay, yeah, I understand the principle of it, but there isn't a man on this earth that I want to be, that's greater than the only man who ever walked this earth that I am called to be, and that's Jesus. He is standard. He is is the one that we should all be looking up to, to be just like him. And so when I read Ezekiel in chapter three, it says moreover, he said to me Ezekiel's writing this. He says he said to me, son of man, eat what you find, eat this scroll and go and speak to the house of Israel. So Ezekiel says.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

So I opened my mouth and He, meaning the Lord, caused me to eat that scroll. Remember that word cause, because we're going to get back to it later. I love that word. Lord caused me to eat that scroll. Remember that word cause, because we're going to get back to it later. I love that word. He caused me. And then he says he said to me, son of man, feed your belly and fill your stomach with this scroll that I give to you. He's not telling Ezekiel I want you to eat your full and be fat. He's telling him specifically what he wants him to eat Eat this scroll, eat this scroll, eat this scroll, fill your belly with this scroll. And so I ate it and it was in my mouth like honey in sweetness.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

And then he said to me son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak with my words to them, for you are not sent to a people of unfamiliar speech and a hard language, but you are sent to the house of Israel. Not too many people of unfamiliar speech and hard language, who you cannot understand. For surely if I had sent you to them, they would have listened to you, but the house of Israel will not listen to you because they will not listen to me. Your words, that I want you to eat the scroll, are my words and I want you to deliver it to them. And when you speak to them, they will not listen, they will not heed, not because of you, but because your words are my words and they will not listen to my words. He says again or he continues to say, but the house of Israel will not listen to you because they will not listen Me, for all the house of Israel are impudent and hard-hearted. Behold, I have made your face strong against their faces and your forehead strong against their foreheads, like adamant stone harder than flint. I have made your forehead. Do not be afraid of them, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house. Moreover, he said to me Son of man, receive into your heart all my words that I speak to you and hear with your ears and go, go and get the captives to the children of your people and speak to them and tell them, thus says the Lord, God, whether they hear, whether they refuse. So he says this to Ezekiel and he says son of man, son of man, son of man, and he bids him what to do, tells him what he wants him to do.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

And I think about how Jesus used that term so many times. I did a little math thing and I pulled up on my e-sword how many times was the son of man used in the New Testament with Jesus, and how many times was the son of God used in the Old Testament? And I found the ratio and you could check it. I mean it's close, but he uses the son of man 16 times to every time he used the term son of God. That tells me that the son of man, that term was impressed upon the man Jesus Christ so much that he identified with it more than he did the son of God. Not that he never did, but there was something about that term. And I said to you before, and I ask you to consider, that Ezekiel was a type of the man Jesus Christ.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Consider all that he told Ezekiel to do and think about, well, what did Jesus do? Because everything he told Ezekiel to do is exactly what Jesus did. Where was he sent? To the house of Israel? Did they listen to him? No, not a word. They did not listen to him as a whole. As a matter of fact, it says in Matthew 15, 24, Jesus said but he answered and said I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

So I consider that and I think, wow, the book of Ezekiel must have made a real impression upon the man Jesus Christ, because he began to identify with everything that was being spoken to Ezekiel as if it was being spoken to him and he began to walk out the words that God had given to Ezekiel as if they were words that were spoken to Him. Where he used the term son of man to himself 16 times more than he ever used the son of God to himself. So consider that. If we turn to Isaiah 50, another prophet, it says the Lord has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He awakens me morning by morning. He awakens my ear to hear as the learned, the Lord, God, has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, nor did I turn away, and we think, oh, Isaiah had his ears open and he was hearing the Lord and we think that's all, that's applicable to Isaiah only.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

But then you read the next verse, because I've said this before in other teachings and it bears reiterating I gave my back to those who struck me, Isaiah said, and my cheeks to those who plucked out my beard. I did not hide my face from shame and spitting. Well, who did that happen to? That happened to Jesus. And we know from 1 Peter, 1: 11 that it says it was the Spirit of Christ that was on the holy prophets, that was in them, that was signifying to everyone of the sufferings of Christ to come. So the Spirit of Christ was speaking through Isaiah of what he was going to himself experience. He says in verse 7 for the Lord God, will help me. Therefore, I will not be disgraced. Therefore, I have set my face like a flint and I know that I will not be ashamed. That's the Spirit of Christ speaking through the prophet. And we read those scriptures and we think, oh, that's a messianic prophecy. Yeah, yeah, because they plucked out his beard, they stuck a crown of thorns on his head and they beat him to a bloody pulp. Well, think about, this is the soul of the man and this is what he's saying. This was what's stirring in his heart as he was walking in the days of his flesh. I have set my face like a flint and I know that I will not be ashamed.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

The man Jesus held on to these words. It helped bring him to the point where he realized the garden of Gethsemane my life must be given, my life must be poured out. I mean, if we think He was God and everything was just easy for Him and he was just like, every time an obstacle came, He was like oh, I got this, I got this. He struggled. He was a man that was dependent upon the Spirit of God and when He read these words, he began to take them to Himself. He began to walk them out. And Jesus was our example, Jesus was our standard. And if he walked in this way and it says and if he walked in this way and it says let this mind be in you, the mind of Christ, this is how he walked. He read the word and began to apply it to himself. He began to hold on to the words that were spoken of in times past as if they were His. And they were His.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

It says in Luke 9, verse 51, it had come to pass, the time had come for him to be received up. And how does Luke describe what Jesus did? It says he steadfastly set his face. The same words used in Isaiah I have set my face like a flint. The same type of words that were used in Ezekiel I have you made your face stronger against their faces and your forehead like an adamant stone harder than flint. The very same words, and this is what Jesus did as he approached Jerusalem.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

I set my face like a flint toward Jerusalem. I realize what I've been sent for, I realize what my purpose is for and I will not look to the right or to the left, but I will go forward and fulfill that which I have been sent to fulfill. For Jesus said in other times and other places my meat is to do the will of him that sent me. And as they went and entered the village of the Samaritans to prepare for him, but they did not receive him. Again, he goes to the house of Israel, but they did not receive him because his face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. The Samaritans were half Jews, like half the house of Jerusalem. But he was going toward Jerusalem and when the disciples, James and John saw this, that the Samaritans even didn't receive, they said Lord, do you want us to call a fire from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did? And he rebuked them. Jesus turned and said to them you do not know what manner of Spirit you are of. And then what does he say For the son of man? There he's using that term. The son of man did not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. This is my purpose. I set my face like a flint to Jerusalem because I am going to fulfill my purpose, because I am the son of man. In John 8: 28, Jesus said to them when you lift up the son of man, then you will know that I am who He and that I do nothing of myself. But as my Father has taught me, I speak these things. This man, Jesus, was taught of His Father what to speak. Is that not what we encourage you all to do when you get into the word? To not deny that the Old Covenant is there? That word is for you. Just as these words for Jesus Christ who read the Old Covenant, that word was for Him. To let HIm know where was He to go, what was He to do, what was He to fulfill. Because He was walking out the fulfillment of God's word. That was his purpose to do the will of him that sent him. We know how,

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

in Hebrews it says behold, I have come in the volume of the book. It is written of me. What To do your will, o God. There he is quoting the old covenant, the author of Hebrews, who we believe to be Paul. But where did it come from? It came from Psalm 40, verse 7.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

The Spirit of Christ spoke through David Then said I behold, I come in the scroll of the book. It is written of Me. But you see, in Hebrews it didn't continue. The quote Read it on. It says I delight to do your will, o God. That's the Spirit of Christ speaking. He delighted to do his will. Did he ever say that in the days of his flesh? Was it ever written in the red letters of the new covenant? No, but this is the spirit of Christ.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

If we read verse 1, Peter 1, verse 11, the Spirit of Christ was in the prophets did signify unto them of the sufferings and the glories to come. So this is the spirit of Christ. I delight to do your will, oh God. Your law is within my heart. This is the man, Jesus, springing forth, his soul, through the prophets David and Jeremiah, and Isaiah and Ezekiel.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

It says, furthermore, in verse 9, I have proclaimed the good news of righteousness in the great assembly. Indeed, I do not restrain my lips. So, Lord, you yourself know, and I see Jesus walking this out. He did not, he wasn't afraid. He spoke up to Pharisees, he spoke up to Samaritans, he spoke to a centurion Roman, he spoke to everyone. He was not afraid to bring forth good tidings of the Lord.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

It says in verse 10, I have not hidden your righteousness within my heart. I have not hidden all this good news in myself and just walked around and not let anybody know. I have declared your faithfulness, your salvation. I have not concealed your loving kindness and your truth from the great assembly. And do not withhold, Lord, your tender mercies from me. Oh Lord, let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me, think on these things and meditate on these things. The Spirit of Christ is being revealed through David and his own words. Yet we see that, oh, my God, that was Jesus. That was Jesus, who did not hold himself back, who did not hold himself back from declaring the righteousness to the assembly, declaring all of his loving kindness, all of his mercy, all the good news, because he was the living embodiment of the good news. He was a living embodiment of salvation to all mankind. And all he wanted to do, he said to the woman at the well, to his disciples my meat is to do the will of him that sent me, of him that sent me.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

It says in Psalm 37, the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. It says in verse 23. And he delights in his way. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, he delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down, for the Lord upholds him with his hand. Remember the Spirit of Christ was in the prophets. This is the Spirit of Christ saying hey, the steps of the good man are ordered by the Lord, he delights in his way. And we just found out that that I delight to do your will, oh God. So it's not a stretch to think that, always speaking of himself, the steps of a good man are ordered of the Lord. He's the one that delights in his way. And if he falls down, he shall not be utterly cast down.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Did he not fall on the cross in his death? Yes, but he was not utterly cast down, for he was raised up again with his righteous right hand. Was not Jesus found at the righteous right hand of his father, says Stephen? Putting it all together, making these little connections here, I have been young and now I'm old. I have not seen the righteous forsaken. I have not seen his descendants begging for bread, because I know that my Lord is merciful, he lends. His descendants are blessed, depart from evil and do good and dwell forevermore, for the Lord loves justice.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

And so when I see Jesus, who's a man, reading these words in Psalms, I see him build Himself up and realize that even though he's going to the cross, there's words for Him of encouragement. The Lord loves justice. He will not forsake his saints, he will not give them up, he will not let them go. It says they are preserved forever, but the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off. So he sees, as he's going more and more toward that day of the cross, that he has something to hold on to. The Lord is going to preserve me. It might be hard, but the Lord shall be found triumphant. The Lord shall be found as holding the staff of salvation and raising it up for his saints. The righteous shall inherit the land. The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom and his tongue talks of justice.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

And look at 31,. The law of God is in his heart. The Spirit of Christ just said the law of God was in his heart. None of his steps shall slide. Nothing that Jesus ever did was an error, was slipping up, was wrong.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

The Lord, in verse 33, will not leave him in his hand. In the hand of who? The wicked, because the wicked is watching the righteous, seeking to slay him. Did that not happen to Jesus? That's exactly what happened to Jesus. The adversary thought he could stop the promise. If he just kills that man, he could stop what was supposedly spoken to Adam and to Eve regarding her seed. He thought if I could just get rid of this man, I can make God's word null and void. So he sought Him. He sought Him when he was a babe, and then he sought him 30 years later and a full force came against him. But the Lord will not leave the righteous man, the good man, in the adversary's hand, nor condemn him when he is judged. Wait on the Lord, keep his way. Words of encouragement, words that Jesus lived by Because, although he was falsely accused, it never stopped him. He went from place to place, from house to house, and nothing that was negatively said about him or adversely said about him stopped him from continuing the work of the Lord.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

In 37, it says mark that blameless man and observe the upright, for the future of that man is peace. It says in verse 39 the salvation of the righteous is from the lord. He is their strength in time of trouble and the Lord shall help them. The Lord shall deliver them. He shall deliver them from the wicked and save them because they trust in Him. And I see the man, Jesus Christ, trusting Him. No matter what came his way, He continually abided in Him, abided under the shadow of His wings.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Everyone should be familiar with Psalm 22. Comes after the Lord is our shepherd. In Psalm 21. And we read these verses and we think, oh, that's a messianic prophecy. It begins with my God, my God, why have you forsaken me? That was the same word spoken by Jesus while he was on the cross, giving his last breaths, and we continue to read oh my God, I cry. In the daytime, you do not hear, and in the night, season, and I'm not silent. This is the Spirit of Christ speaking through David. And what was he saying while he was being beaten and tortured and hanging on the cross? We know what happened on the cross the Father had to turn his back on Him because all the sins of the world were going to be cast upon him. There was going to be a separation between the communion of the Son and his Father.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

But the spirit of Christ is meditating on the words of the Lord. You are holy, you're enthroned in the praises of your people. Our fathers trusted in you. They trusted and you did what you delivered them. He kept holding on to the word. They cried to you and they were delivered. They trusted in you and they were not ashamed.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

But I am a worm and no man, a reproach, a man. I'm despised by all of these people around me. They ridicule me, they shoot out the lip, they shake their head. And what do they say? Oh, He trusted in the Lord. Let Him rescue him. Let Him deliver Him, since he delights in Him. They said that Because, if we go to the new covenant, where those words were spoken, it says the same thing. Well, he trusted in his God. Let his God save him from the cross.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

This is a Messianic prophecy. These are the ruminations of the man, Jesus Christ, through David. Now. But you are he who took me out of the womb. Think of what, my God, I may be suffering, all of this and all of this calamity, but hey, you knew me. While I was in my mother's womb, you made me to trust while I was still on my mother's breasts. He must have been very small, but you made me to trust in you while I was still on my mother's breasts and feeding from her. And I was cast upon you from my birth, from my mother's womb, you've been my God. The very day he was born, he knew, he knew.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Many bulls have surrounded me, strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me, talking about all of these people. They gave me with their mouths like a raging and roaring Ryan, and I'm being poured out like water. All of my strength, all of my life is being poured out. Now I'm dying here. All my bones are out of joy. My heart is melting like wax. It is melted within me. My strength. I don't have it anymore. I couldn't even carry this cross anymore. I dropped it and somebody else carried it for me. I'm down to my last breath. I'm down to my last bits of strength.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

My tongue clings to my jaws. You remember they wanted to give him something to drink. He didn't drink it. His jaws were shut. You brought me to the dust of death. This is the soul of the man. These dogs have surrounded me. The congregation of the wicked has enclosed me. They pierced my hands and my feet. These are all of his thoughts that he was thinking on the cross. They divide my garments. Look, look. They're dividing my garments. They're casting lots upon them.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

But then he says in verse 19, But you, o Lord, do not be far from me. Hold my strength, hasten, help me. Deliver me from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog, save me from the lion's mouth, from the horns of the wild oxen. You have answered me. I will declare your name to my brethren in the midst of the assembly. I will praise you. He's holding on for dear life to the word of the Lord. You who fear the Lord, praise him. All you descendants of Jacob, glorify him and fear him, all you, offspring of Israel. For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, nor has he hidden his face from him. But when he cried to Him, God heard Him. He said in verse 22, I would declare your name to my brethren. Jesus spoke those words in John, chapter 17,. The night of the last supper he's praying and he says oh righteous father, the world has not known you, but I have known you and these have known you. That sent me and I have declared your name and will declare it. He's speaking the same words he spoke through the psalmist that the love which you have loved me may be in them.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

If we look at another one in us, in psalm 31: 1 verse 8, David says in you, oh Lord, I put my trust. Let me never be ashamed. Deliver me in your righteousness. You start reading that okay, it's dav. Yeah, he's building himself in the trust of the Lord. He says bow down your ear to me when I hear, when I'm calling out to you, come, come, come to me Lord, come to me, lord, Deliver me in your righteousness, deliver me speedily. Be my rock of refuge, a fortress of defense to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. Therefore, for your name's sake, lead me and guide me.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

And we think okay, this is David. I mean, he had a lot of trouble and he was crying out to the Lord. He says pull me out of the net which they have laid secretly for me, for you are my strength. Into your hand I commit my spirit. Whoa, didn't Jesus use those words? He was on the cross, and that's exactly what he said. Into thy hands, father, I commit my spirit.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

This is another messianic prophecy. You have redeemed me, o Lord, God of truth. I hated those who regard useless idols, but I trust in the Lord. I will be glad and rejoice in your mercy, for you have considered my trouble, you have known my trouble, you have known my soul in adversities, and you have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy. You have set my feet in a wide place In verse 14, he continues on.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

But as for me, I trust in you, o Lord. I say you are my God, my times are in your hand. Deliver me from the hand of my enemies from those who persecute me. Again, it is a messianic prophecy. Make your face to shine. Shine upon your servant. Save me for your mercy's sake. Do not let me be ashamed.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

O Lord, in verse 19, which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have prepared for those who trust in you in the presence of the sons of men, is that not what Jesus did? He trusted in his God in the midst of the sons of men. He says in verse 22, I said in my haste, I am cut off from before your eyes. Nevertheless, you heard my voice, my supplications, when I cried out to you. And he says the Lord preserves the faithful. Be of good courage. He shall strengthen your heart, all of you who hope in the Lord. This man is holding on to the words, to the words that were spoken of by his own spirit in times past. He needed to have a hope beyond what he was about to go through, so that he could go through it. And then we read in Psalm 91, he who dwells in the secret place shall abide In the shadow of the almighty.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

I will say of the Lord. He is my refuge and my fortress, my God. In him will I trust. Why do we put that in a song? Because we're trying to hold on to that word for ourselves. It's not just for David, who it seems to have been written by or spoken through. We hold on to it because we want that word to be applied to us. We want it to be applicable to us Just as these words were applicable to the man, Jesus Christ.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Surely he shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with his feathers under his wings. He shall bring you with his feathers Under his wings. He shall take, he shall bring you in and take refuge. His truth shall be your shield and your buckler. Your shield and your buckler, your strength, his truth shall be to you. You won't be afraid. It says in verse nine. You have made the Lord. Because you have made the Lord, because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the most high, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor any plague shall come nigh your dwelling. It says next he shall give his angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Isn't that what the enemy said to Jesus? See, the enemy even uses the Old Testament and tries to apply you in a perverted way. Because he questioned the identity of Jesus being the son of God, he said if thou be the son of God. And then Jesus answered him thou shalt not tempt the Lord, thy God. He questioned his identity even using this verse, for even his angels shall give charge over you In their hands. They shall bear you up lest you dash your foot against a stone. That's what the enemy told him and he stopped there. You know he didn't read verse 13 of Psalm 91. Watch what the enemy skipped when he used that verse against Jesus to question his identity. Because in verse 13, it says you shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. Pretty smart of the enemy, huh, not to give him exactly what he needed to realize. Oh, you have power over me. But Jesus knew his word Thou shalt not tempt the Lord, thy God. And it says in verse 14, why will you tread the lion and the cobra and the serpent and trample them underfoot? Because you have set your love upon me. Therefore, I will deliver you. I will set him on high because he has known my name. He shall call upon me and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him. With what Long life and will satisfy him. Doesn't it say in Revelation that I am he that was dead and now alive forevermore? Does not he have the preeminent honor? Is there not any name that is above his name? His word was fulfilled, exactly as he said it would.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Why am I bringing up all of this to you? In 2 Corinthians 3, it says you are a letter of Christ. I'm speaking this now to you. Yes, this is written to the Corinthians by Paul, but I hope you get the principle of what I'm trying to get you to do here is, when you read this word, to stop thinking about oh, that's about David, that's about the psalmist, that's about Jesus Christ. It's about David, that's about the psalmist, that's about Jesus Christ, it's about you.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

You are a letter of Christ, not written in ink, but with what? The spirit of the living God. If you have been born again, if you have come in and covenant with God and you have the baptism of the Holy Spirit, you are now a letter of Christ. Your life, everything that goes on in your life, is now a letter to everyone about Christ, just as the man, Jesus Christ. Everything he said and did is a letter about him, about God, to all the world. You are that letter, because it wasn't on the tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart, the spirit. We have such trust through Christ toward God. It says in Romans 5, now, hope doesn't disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our what Hearts by what the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Remember what it said in Ezekiel about causing. If we turn to Ezekiel 36, when you were baptized in the Holy Spirit and been made a letter of Christ, it says I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my spirit within you and I love the next three words and cause you, I will cause you to do what To guard my, to walk in my statutes, to keep my judgments and I love the next one and do them, because without me you can do nothing. I will cause you to do this. I will empower you to do this. My grace will be found sufficient for you. My grace will be found sufficient for you.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

That wasn't just written to Paul. That was for you, that was for me. We need to take God and start applying his word to our lives and not just be a nice story. It is an account to be applied to you. It says, regarding the new covenant by Jeremiah, the spirit of Christ said then I will give them a heart to know me that I am the Lord, and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart. That's why I will do it, because there's going to be a remnant of people that are going to return to me with their whole heart and I am going to give them my spirit and do all of these mighty and wonderful things to them and through them.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

It says in Deuteronomy 36, and the Lord, God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants. To do what? Why is he going to circumcise your heart? To love the Lord, your God, with all your heart and with all your soul that you may live, to cause you to do that which is right in his sight to cause you to love him with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength, which he said in Deuteronomy, chapter 6, verse 4. He reiterated again that I'm going to circumcise your heart so that you can do, Deuteronomy 6, verse 4. Love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Think about this.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

The disciples who we know to be apostles but I don't just consider them just apostles, I'm talking about all the disciples of Christ in the first century. What is their track record? I give you one. Their very first converts, on the day of Pentecost: They continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrine Acts 2:42. They continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrine. Number two what did they do as well? They did not cease to teach or preach Jesus Christ as the Messiah, Acts 5: 42. Number three they did not hold back in declaring the whole counsel of God Acts 20: 27.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Characteristics of disciples, true disciples. They will hold fast to the apostles' doctrine. They will not cease to teach and preach Jesus Christ as the Messiah. They will not hold back in declaring the whole counsel of God. These are all characteristics of what Jesus did. Number four they sought, they looked for, they went around the world trying to figure out what door is open to me, because I want to go and preach to everyone the mystery of Christ. Where is the open door? Where is that what we call in teaching, that teachable moment? And we call it in coaching, that coachable moment. When something happens, I'm like, ah, I can jump right in and give them what they need. They sought for that, and give them what they need, they sought for, that, they desired. Where is that moment? Who is that person or people? And number five the manifestations of God's word came through their preaching, Titus 1:3. Five characteristics of disciples, five characteristics of Jesus Christ. But the disciples followed in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. Why is that so important?

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

On the last night of the very last supper, when Jesus began to pray for his disciples in John, chapter 17, he said as thou has sent me into the world, even so I also send them. He said, and for their sakes I sanctify myself that they also might be sanctified through the truth. But you know what? I don't pray for these people alone. I don't pray for these 12 people that are surrounding my table, or 11 people, because, judas, you know what he did. Jesus said I don't pray for these people alone. I don't pray for these 12 people that are surrounding my table, or 11 people, because, judas, you know what he did. Jesus said I don't pray for these alone, but for them also, which shall believe on me through their preaching, through their teaching, through their word.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

The disciples abided together in the doctrine of the apostles. The apostolic doctrine did not come by mere men. It says in two places that he was with them for 40 days giving commandments unto the apostles number one, and then it says he was with them for 40 days preaching things concerning the kingdom of God. They just repeated what they were taught, just like I repeat in school what I was taught about math. If we can't believe the apostles, we can't believe anybody, because they were directly taught by him, directly, for three and a half years and for 40 days thereafter.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

He wants the world to believe on him through who? Not just their word, who else's word. Through our word that we preach. He wants people to believe on him through our word that we're preaching and teaching them. People to believe on him through our word that we're preaching and teaching them. Salvation and judgment is based upon responses to not only what he said, but to what his disciples have said, and I say disciples because that's more generic.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

He has a lot more disciples than he has apostles, Yet all the disciples have been sent. We don't call them all apostles because they're not holding the office of the prophet. But let's not go there. This really isn't a new thing. The Lord has always done this. The Lord has always done this from the old covenant to the new covenant. He has anointed people who we called his prophets in the old covenant Jonah, Jeremiah and Daniel and he expected people to believe on him through their word. And he does the same thing with his disciples in the new covenant. He expects people to believe on him through their word, that they teach them or that they preach to them. Again, it is the Spirit of Christ that was in them, signifying of the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow. That was 1 Peter 1.11.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

In 2 Peter 3.2, peter says I want you to be reminded, I want you to be mindful of the words which were spoken of by the holy prophets in the old covenant and of the commandments of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior. Your compliance to the words of the Lord through his ministers is required because they weren't speaking of their own opinions. They were speaking via his spirit, through a divine revelation. John said we are of God. The apostles, the disciples, we are of God, and anyone that knows God does what Hear us. This is how we know the spirit of truth and error. If you're hearing what the apostles are teaching and preaching and abiding in that, and you've been ministering that to others and they don't listen, then they're not of God at this point in time. That's how we know truth and error.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Paul said to the Thessalonians we thank God constantly, without ceasing, in chapter two, verse 13. And this is where it applies to us. When ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, you didn't receive it as the word of men. You received it as, in truth, what Nobody knows, nobody knows. I stopped them For this cause. Thank we God without ceasing, because when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men but as it is truth, the word of God which effectually worketh also in you that believe. The word of God works in you, that take hold of it and apply it to yourself. How do you get saved? Because you took the word of God works in you that take hold of it and apply it to yourself. How do you get saved? Because you took the word of repentance, you took the word of being born again and you applied it to yourself, otherwise it would have been ineffectual. It becomes effectual when you apply it to yourself.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

True ministers of God all realize that, because it's nothing that they do. They're not special at all. They just have the word of God. They have the anointing and they know that it's the anointing that is reaching out to the hearts of people, to the hearts of men throughout the world, to save them and to deliver them. We don't need more book-filled and book-learned ministers coming out of seminary. We need more spirit-filled ministers that are actually hearing the word of God and relaying it without change, without perversion, directly to you. That's what we need and you are that minister, because you have the spirit of Christ.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

In John 13, 20,. Verily, verily, I say unto you. Jesus said he that receiveth me receives who, him that sent me. You see the connection. In order for you to come to Jesus, you've got to come through the one that he sent. In order for you to get God, you've got to go through Jesus. In order for you to get Jesus, you've got to go through the one that he sent. That's the connection. You can't skip over one or the other.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Which is why it talks about well, how can they believe whom they have not heard? If they have not heard, why haven't they heard? Well, they haven't heard the preacher. Well, why hasn't the preacher preached it? Well, he hasn't been sent. And then there's that connection again A man has to be sent in order to preach the word, so that people listening will hear the word and then know what they need to believe in. And we are that conduit, we are a part of that connection, that connection of salvation. Because, yes, Jesus Christ is the foundation, absolutely, he is the cornerstone. But does it not say that we are built upon the foundation of the apostles and the prophets, of which Jesus Christ is the chief cornerstone? Why the apostles and prophets? Because they're the ones that taught exactly what Jesus told them to teach. There's no different. That's what we need to abide in. That's why we, if we're going to be disciples, we need to steadfastly abide in the doctrine of the apostles Luke 1:26.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Everybody turn to Luke 1.26. I want to speak of Mary, who was right now the highlighted example of this whole message, little old Mary, the mother of Jesus. In Luke 1:26, it says Now, in the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

In Luke 1.26, it says come in. The angel said to her Rejoice, highly favored one. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women. But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying. And consider, what manner of greeting is this? And the angel said to her Don't be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a son and shall call his name Jesus. He will be great, he will be called the son of the highest, and the Lord God will give him the throne of his father, David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever and of his kingdom there will be no end.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Then Mary said to the angel how can this be? I've never known a man Put yourself in that position, seeing an angel who knows what that looks like, saying she's blessed and highly favored of the Lord, and now she's going to have a son. How's that? She doesn't argue, she's just wondering how's that? And the angel said to her the Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the highest will overshadow you. Therefore, also, that Holy One who is born will be called the son of God. Now, indeed, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren, for with God nothing will be possible. And then Mary said nothing will be impossible. Then Mary said behold the impossible, I'm sorry. Then Mary said behold the maidservant of the Lord. Can y'all read the next phrase? What does she say next? No, I said everybody. Can everybody read that together?

Patricia Ruiz:

He said unto me, according to thy word.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Yeah, she had the word of God. Came to her with an angel and she did something. There's the word of God and there's the hand of faith that she had, and she heard everything she said and she looked at it and what did she say?

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Be it unto me according to thy word, let it be unto me. According to thy word, what happened in that moment? What happened in that moment? She conceived, right there, in that moment, faith and the word of God, and she conceived. Because it's not faith in faith. Faith in faith is the sound of one hand clapping out loud. It's nothing. But when you take the word of God and say let it be unto me according to thy word and let it happen, let it come to me.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

This is what the man Jesus did when he read those words. He applied it to himself. This is what Ezekiel did. This is what all the saints of God need to do is hear the word of God and say let it be into me according to your word and get it done. That's what has to happen to us. We have to stop reading for the sake of reading or knowing or knowledge. We need to read these things and say well, let it be unto me, according to your word and let it be so, let it come unto me.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

And Mary rose in those days and went into the hill country with haste to the city of Judah and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. And you know what Elizabeth said at the end Blessed is she meaning Mary who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told to her from the Lord. It's because she believed. What happened to Zacharias? He didn't believe. He argued hem and haw. Silence For like 10 months, nine months Silence.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

The word of the Lord is coming to pass, whether you believe it or not. Silence for like 10 months, nine months silence. The word of the Lord is coming to pass, whether you believe it or not. But if we want the promises of God to be fulfilled in our lives prosperity, healing, deliverance, stability, whatever it is that we're searching for, we must find it in the word and say let it be unto me, according to your word. It says in Hebrews 4: 2, which is the principle of the whole message. The Lord will no excuse me for, indeed, the gospel which preached to us as well as to them. But the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith, not faith in faith, but faith with the word. Mixed together brings forth the word of God in the earth. It's already been declared in heaven. We're just repeating the matter in the earth and seeing the salvation of God, seeing the miracles, seeing the wonders, seeing the deliverance brought forth and manifest here with us. Now Our faith must be mixed with the word for it to be effectual, otherwise it means nothing.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

So glad Bishop brought up a word today. So he's gonna stand up and demonstrate. Bishop, you're going to have to stand up and demonstrate. He said today that he's holding on to a word with his house situation and he brought up the scripture. He's got to stand up and he's got to put his Bible down. The response is let it be to me. According to your word, you got it. No, no, no, no. The response has to be the response to something. So here's the word that he's holding on to. The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.

Julian Harris:

And I declare it in the name of the Lord.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Amen, let it be unto me. According to your word, does anybody have a word that they're holding onto today? Anybody? Anybody have a word? Nobody? Okay, then I'm going to read another one, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to do for his good pleasure.

Patricia Ruiz:

Let it be unto me, according to your word.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Anybody. Have a word for yourself. You need to build yourself up in the word. What is the word that you're holding on to that you need applied to you? Let it be unto you according to your word. Stand up if you have a word. No, you're not giving a teaching, you're being a testimony.

Julian Harris:

Yes.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Murray, let it be unto me. According to your word, murray, stand up.

Murray Fox:

Okay, the Lord said my family would be safe. He said I'd get the job that I needed. And on top of that he said a lot more things, and he knows them.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

How do you respond? Thank you very much. That's right. Anyone else have a word of the Lord for themselves today you have to read the word and apply it to you. I have not commanded you. Be strong and of good courage. Do not be afraid or dismayed for the Lord. Your God is with you forever, wherever you go. Let it be unto me according to your word. Does anybody have a word? Yes, sir, stand up and declare it.

Julian Harris:

The Lord says we can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us, and I know for a fact that he's told me that he will cause me to prosper on my job, and I say, let it be unto me according to his word Hallelujah.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Anyone else with a word yes?

Julian Harris:

God says that his word is going to be taken to all four corners of the earth and that he will prosper us accordingly to his word, and we will go anywhere.

Patricia Ruiz:

He tells us to go whenever he tells us to go according to your word Amen.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Anyone else? Anyone else.

Patricia Ruiz:

Hallelujah, his servant, and his righteousness, rather and our righteousness, that is of him.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

So let it be done, let it be unto me according to your word. Let it happen to me according to your word. Modern day translation Let it be so in my life according to your word. It says in Isaiah 51, 16 I have put my words in your mouth. I have covered you with the shadow of my hand that I may plant the heavens, lay the foundations of the earth and say to Zion you are my people. Let it be unto me according to your word, lord. Anyone else have a word? Yes, I see people flipping through the. That's right. You better find it, alan.

Julian Harris:

He first, the kingdom of God and all of his righteousness and all of these things will be added unto you. Let it be so, according to thy word.

Patricia Ruiz:

Amen.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

That's right Amen. Any others yes.

Patricia Ruiz:

Isaiah 61.3. He's given me, actually, isaiah 61.1-3. He has anointed me to preach the gospel, to set the captives at liberty, to heal the sick, to raise the dead, to give sight to the blind, to give hearing to the deaf. And he has anointed me with the spirit of. He's given me a garment of praise, he's given me joy and gladness, and I praise him. And let it be to me, let it be unto me, according to his word.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Don't forget. Let it be unto me, according to your word. You're declaring to God what he already said was needed to be done. Let it be unto me, according to your word. When Jesus was in the temple and he was already baptized in the spirit, they read Isaiah. And what happened? What you have just read has just been fulfilled in your ears. Let it be unto me, according to your word. And that's exactly what his ministry was about. He walked that word out. That was spoken centuries before Murray. You have another one.

Murray Fox:

He walked that word out. That was spoken centuries before Murray. You have another one For as the rain comes down from heaven and the snow from heaven and return, not until they water the earth and bring forth and bud that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goeth forth from my mouth.

Murray Fox:

It shall not return to be void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper the thing wherefore I sinned. So, in other words, every word that he has given us will bear fruit, will prosper, will cause to grow and will bring life.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

What's the response?

Patricia Ruiz:

So shall it be.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Let it be unto me according to your word, so shall it be according to your word. Amen, anyone else?

Julian Harris:

I shall prosper even as my soul prospers. So shall it be according to my word, amen, when they deliver you up.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Do not worry about how or what you should speak For. It will be given to you in that hour what you should speak For. It is not you who speak, but the spirit of your father who speaks in you. Let it be unto me according to your word, anyone else? Let it be unto me according to your will. That's right. Amen, amen, anyone else. Any words you're holding on to, there's healing. Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and forget not all his benefits. Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases? Who redeems your life from destruction? Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies? Who satisfies your mouth with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles. Anyone need that verse. Let it be unto me according to your word. Anyone else?

Julian Harris:

anyone else. May we walk in the knowledge, understanding, application, and that our Lord will be our shield and that will expose everything, that not one of us will be deceived to backslide.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Let it be according to your word let it be unto me according to your word.

Murray Fox:

Yes, marie something that touched my heart. It was a quote by an influence of the founding father. Let it be according to your word. Let it be unto me according to your word. Yes, murray. Something that touched my heart. It was a quote by an influence of the founding fathers, by a guy named Montesquieu, and he said the quickest way to trounce religion was to actually grant it in favor, and the quickest way to make people lukewarm was to give them the promise of prosperity and wealth and that hope. Well, I thank God that he's not going to allow us to abide in this state much longer. Whenever he does turn everything over, he has said, especially to me personally, the US dollar will die. I thank God for the fact that he cares enough about us to turn us upside down in order to draw us out of the fire, because the love of God is the root of all evil. And we're in the fire and we don't even know it. We're so backslidden and we don't even know. So we're formed and we don't even know.

Murray Fox:

So, lord, I think it's time to give the Lord thanks for the fact that he's not going to leave us in our comfort zones that he's not going to leave us in our comfort zones, that he's not content to allow us to just shrug him off so easily that he is that persistent guy always knocking at our door to bring us on to the right path. And as it be in his word, so shall it be in our lives.

j - Jesus M. Ruiz:

Amen, amen, amen, amen, amen. Please, as long as we get the principle and the spirit of the word right, that's all good with me. Let it be unto me according to your word. Find your words in the scriptures, find your words in hearing the Lord. Find your words throughout the day and let it be unto you according to his word, amen.
